Quality Manager

The purpose of the role is to serve as a leader in driving sustainable excellence in quality during the total product development and production cycle within Operations. This is accomplished by providing technical leadership within the quality discipline, driving adherence to systems, and maintaining an intense customer focus.

As a Strategic but hands on manager, this role will lead the monitoring, maintenance, and development of Quality Systems that ensure Customer Satisfaction. This role requires a leader skilled at motivating and mentoring an organization towards World Class Quality. This requires expertise in building partnerships with internal and external customers which will guarantee success in the deployment of best practices throughout the organization.  This position ensures alignment with strategic initiatives and will enable JLG to focus on implementation of best value practices for Quality processes and procedures.

  • Comply with all provisions on labor and environmental protection and come with proposals to improve them where and when appropriate;
  • Coordinate daily activities of engineers and technicians;
  • Identify and analyze the department members targets, identify opportunities for improvement;
  • Manages non-conforming material and responsible for timely disposition and corrective action;
  • Establish and maintain relationships with customers;
  • Encourage qualitative achievements and performance improvement throughout the organization;
  • Assign, schedule and coordinate internal and external quality audits;
  • Nonconformities oversees treatment and establish corrective and preventive measures;
  • Collaborate with staff responsible for supply to establish quality requirements for external suppliers and evaluating suppliers;
  • Supervises technical staff in carrying out tests and inspections;
  • Monitor the inspection and testing;
  • Directs the Education, training and motivation for quality staff;
  • Engineering Degree in Mechanical or Quality field
  • Minimum 2 years (Preferable 4 years) quality management experience;
  • ISO 9001:2001 auditor;
  • Quality tools like: SPC, FMEA, 5s, APQP, basic 6 Sigma concepts
  • Communication skills;
  • Good knowledge of MS Office package;
  • English language advanced;
  • Very good leadership skills, able to develop and motivate teams;
