Currently we have an exciting opportunity for a Tactical Buyer based in Genk (Belgium).

Summary:
The Buyer role will be the primary operational interface between JLG and the supply base. This role is responsible for providing material availability in support of the sales forecast, safety stock and customer orders. The Buyer will support the availability of purchased parts, inventory turns goals, and shortage resolution/mitigation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned.
• Act as primary day to day contact with the supply base on the scheduling and delivery of all purchased parts in support of JLG demand. Manage communication with supplier from forecast, vender acknowledgement, delivery, through invoicing.
• Manage on-time delivery performance of the supply base by resolving constraints whether they exist at the supplier or at JLG. This includes current and future part shortages, past due purchase order management as well as expediting and deferring of purchase orders.
• Investigate alternative solutions to address limited availability of parts, internal to JLG and within the external supply markets.
• Collaborate across departments to resolve shipment and quantity discrepancies and create corrective actions to avoid issues in the future.
• Maintain system database of planning and procurement parameters as necessary to ensure the plan is reflective of actual inventory and forecast.
• Build and maintain cohesive relationships with the supply base, internal, and external customers to ensure smooth supply chain operations.
• Monitor incoming shipments and manage shipment problems.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Two (2) or more years of relevant experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint.
• Fluent in Dutch and English.
• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
