Currently we have an exciting opportunity for a Parts Engineering Manager based in Genk (Belgium):

SUMMARY
The Parts Engineering Manager will be responsible for the development and implementation of strategies guaranteeing efficient and professional technical support in relation to aftermarket parts. This role will supervise a team of Engineers in charge of setting up and maintaining parts using global technical documentation and supports other Departments and customers by sharing technical experience (parts properties, serviceability, stocking recommendation and usage). The position initiates and/or supports projects in relation to global aftermarket parts process improvements, mainly related to parts availability for new machine models.
 
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Prepare, align and supervise the setup of Aftermarket parts for new products: parts identification, change notice management, serviceability levels, parts identification through the constant use of technical use of documentation and drawings
  • Supervise the maintenance of existing parts databases: supersession, change notice reviews, technical accuracy, parts readiness par machine model.
  • Develop, initiate and follow-up parts related programs and projects (branding, product improvement, segmentation, global alignment) with the aim to support Sales and supply the Marketing Department with material for campaigns as requested.
  • Engage with other departments within the organization to build positive relationships and resolution to reoccurring issues. Establish reporting tools to follow up on the evolution of specific issues and share results internally and with customers as appropriate.
  • Work with GPSC to optimize inventory: define serviceable / stockable parts, assess impact of supersessions.
  • Lead, coach and motivate a team of engineers (product and program); hire and train new staff; conduct performance reviews.
  • Support technical support for machine down cases, oversee the feedback given to all customers with technical inquiries via the contact mailbox, recommended parts list for key accounts
 
 
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
  • Three (3) or more years in Technical, Engineering experience.
  • One (1) or more years of supervisory/management experience.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.
  • Strong Microsoft Office and Excel skills.
