Product Safety Administrator

JLG’s Product Safety and Reliability Department is responsible for ensuring products are designed and manufactured safely and providing safety related information to customers.  The successful candidate will be a positive individual with strong organisational and interpersonal skills who is willing to work at differing levels of task complexity.    

Core Responsibilities:

Product Records
-    Provide an administrative link between UK manufacturing and product safety 
-    Ensure production documentation (test and assembly records) are recorded centrally
-    Develop reports in relation to completed service work/product updates
-    Update product ownership records through an improved process for European safety updates

Customer Support
-    Respond to external and internal customer enquiries
-    Support the drafting of reports and other written customer responses
-    Assist with the introduction of customer support documents for UK manufactured products
-    Mailing list compilation and administration for Safety and Service field action as required

Department Support & Research
-    Maintain and improve Product Safety records
-    Research internal documents such as manuals or technical files for product improvement/ internal standards initiatives  
-    Support development and maintenance of process documents and department guidance
-    Support European aftermarket department with completion in relation to EMEA FSB Mailing compilation

The work may require occasional travel to Europe.

The role will report to the Product Safety Manager for EMEA based in the UK and are a member of our Global Product Safety & Reliability team.

•    Experience in office administration 
•    Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools (especially Excel, Visio, Word and Powerpoint)
•    Strong written communication 
•    Excellent attention to detail
•    Willingness to support technical analysis and to learn new skills 

•    BSc/BA in Office Administration or relevant diploma/certification
•    Experience in quality, manufacturing or customer support administration
•    Ability to speak or read another language would be beneficial

Position based in Leicester at either the JLG Office LE19 1WD or Power Towers Office LE18 2FB (10 minutes away).
