Position Summary:
The Sales Engineer (Industrial Channel) brings “channel savvy” to ensure successful operations across JLG’s MH channel.  The goal is to sustain seamless external sales representative interaction with  JLG to maximum sales of JLG products.  The Sales Engineer (Industrial Channel) wins, maintains, and expands relationships with key channel sales representatives so that JLG can achieve overall sales objectives. 
This position reports to the Industrial Channel & Distribution Manager UK&I.

What You'll Do:
  • Establishes productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned partner accounts;
  • Coordinates and performs site surveys with partner accounts, demonstrations, Customer machine handover & familiarisation sessions and support tasks in order to meet partner performance objectives and partners’ expectations and to assist in the specification of the correct JLG machine;
  • Manage demonstration fleet;
  • In conjunction with Industrial Channel & Distribution Manager, meets assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives in assigned partner accounts;
  • Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates partner needs on an ongoing basis;
  • Leads solution development efforts that best address end-user needs and partner needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary company and partner personnel;
  • Promotion of JLG after sales support services.

Performance Measures:
  • In conjunction with Industrial Channel & Distribution Manager meets assigned sales quota in designated partner accounts;
  • Completes site surveys timely and accurately, performs demonstrations satisfactorily and properly manages demonstration fleet;
  • Completes partner account plans that meet company standards;
  • Maintains high partner satisfaction ratings that meet company standards;
  • Completes required training and development objectives within the assigned time frame;
  • Utilises the company CRM to record Opportunities and maintains accuracy of detail.

Qualifications:

Technical or engineering based experience or qualification
College degree from an accredited institution
Drivers License to pull trailer
Willingness to operate AWP equipment – not scared of heights
Willingness to travel throughout the UK
Good oral and written communication skills
Access or Forklift Industry prior experience
