Accounts Receivable Administrator

The primary function of this position is the responsibility of processing bank statements timely and accurately for the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region. This is not limited to the cash application of customer cash receipts; it includes having ownership of all bank transactions and processing them correctly. The objective is to post all bank transactions on a daily basis to ensure that other teams (e.g. collectors, Accounts Payable and VAT) can follow through with their activities on a daily basis as well. The Accounts Receivable team has a core activity to which most of the other financial teams have a dependency.
 
 
Purpose of the job:
  • Daily cash application incoming cash via Matchmaker
  • Daily upload of Matchmaker output file into Mapics and review posted transactions with follow up
  • AR-AP, GPRF transactions process
  • Monthly FX adjustments
  • Monthly Bank reconciliation ( Blackline)
  • Monthly AR reconciliation (Blackline)  
  • Responsible for processing all bank statement transactions timely and accurately on a daily basis
  • Apply unallocated cash in conjunction with the Collectors
  • Book outgoing cash to the correct Accounts payable accounts
  • Book other transactions (Tax, VAT, payroll) with appropriate coding
  • Reconcile and follow up on outstanding items of the unallocated cash account
  • Maintain Accounts Receivable (AR) sub ledger and reconcile to the General Ledger
  • Report on AR ageing and cash not posted
  • Work together with the Accounting team to reconcile bank accounts in an efficient manner
 

Profile of the ideal candidate:
  • Completion of secondary education (studies in Administration or Finance are advantageous)
  • At least one year of relevant work experience; experience of working in an international environment in an administrative role is an advantage
  • Communication skills: ability to effectively present information in a one-on-one setting and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
  • Planning and organizing skills: enthusiastic, determined and being able to work by using your own initiative
  • Good mathematical and analytical skills and an affinity for data & figures
  • Ability to fluently converse in English in a business environment is required. Knowledge of other European languages is advantageous.
  • Computer literate.
